Music Outreach Programme

Coláiste Chraobh Abhann facilitates the Bray Music Centre Outreach Programme in providing music tuition for students.

The aim of the Outreach Programme is to make music accessible to all who want it at an affordable price.  The details of the programme are as follows:

Tuition available due subject to demand:

• Piano – Ms Svetlana Dunne from the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Kiev.

• Rock band coaching – a rock workshop session for those who already know how to play.  Bands will be formed, rehearsed and recorded.

• Classical Guitar – with Mr Eamon Sweeney.  We have also Ms Ariel Hernandez, who teaches classical, jazz and Latin styles.

• Violin - (NEW!) - Ms Lucy Perkins who teaches classical and traditional violin

 Costs:

• Individual Tuition

              €275 for 10 lessons per term for 2 terms.  Each lesson lasts for one school period

• Groups of 2 students.

              €143 for 10 lessons per term for 2 terms.  Each lesson lasts for one school period

• Groups of  3 to 5  students

              €110 for 10 lessons per term for 2 terms.  Each lesson lasts for one school period

There is an information session for parents and students in advance of lessons dealing with issues such as:

• Benefits of instrumental music
• Practice  at home
• Care of instruments
• Financial commitment for lessons and instruments
• Importance of good attendance
