PRIVATE MEMBERS DRAW

The final four draws in our Parents’ Association Private Members Draw have taken place.  The prize winners on Friday December 8th were 1st prize – Gannon family; 2nd prize – Kay Coughlan: 3rd prize – Cillian Quinn.  The prize winners on Monday December 11th were 1st prize – Hills Garage; 2nd prize – Anna McGlynn; 3rd prize – Susan Carthy.  The results of our draw on Friday December 15th were 1st prize – Frank Brady; 2nd prize – Tom Gray; 3rd prize – Colleen Garvey.  The results of the final draw which took place on Monday 18th December were 1st prize – John Murphy; 2nd Prize – Vera Byrne and 3rd prize – Rebekah Doyle.

 

CHRISTMAS CAROL SERVICE

Our annual Carol Service will take place on Friday December 22nd at 11.30.  We welcome Fr. Belton, Rev.William Bennett and Archdeacon Ronald Keegan to the service.

On the same note, well done to our school choir who took part in Kilcoole’s Christmas Carol Service on Tuesday December 12th.  The choir sang in the local church with pupils from the two local primary schools.

 

CHRISTMAS CARD COMPETITION

The Art students in our school recently took part in an in-house Christmas card competition.  The winning cards were then printed and sold at our recent Open Night to raise money for our School Show which will take place next April.  The 8 winners were – Kelvin Barr, Ashta Dunne, Saoirse O Neill, Alice Gray, Gabrielle Bric, Leon Kavanagh, Nathanael Roman and Laura Matthews.  Well done to all involved!

 

MUSIC TRIP

A group of music students, teachers and parents attended the ballet of “The Nutcracker” in the Point Theatre on Sunday December 17th.  A very enjoyable evening was had by all.

 

MERRY CHRISTMAS

The staff at Colaiste Chraobh Abhann would like to wish all our students, parents and the local community a very Happy Christmas and New Year 2007.

The school will re-open on Monday January 8th 2007.
