1st YEAR BOYS GAELIC FOOTBALL

Congratulations goes to the first year boys who beat Scoil Chonglais of Baltinglass, 11-12 to 1-6 last Wednesday, November 30, in Rathdrum.  In the worst weather conditions, our first year lads played some good football, with an excellent display of long and short passing, despite the terrible weather.

Man of the Match goes to Daniel Kavanagh who started at full forward and scored some brilliant scores, then was switched to midfield where he, along with Matthew Mannix dominated.  Honourable mentions also go to James Kavanagh and Kevin Carthy in defence.  Spear-heading the forwards were Gary Elliott, Aaron Lennon and super-sub Alan Keogh.
