SCHOOL SHOW

Rehearsals are now drawing to a close for our upcoming school show, “Joseph”.  The show will take place in the Mermaid Arts Centre in Bray from Wednesday 14th to Friday 16th March 2007.  The students have put in a lot of work in the last few weeks with musical director, Ms. Jackie Olahan, and choreographer, Ms. Aisling Doyle.  Tickets for the show are €15 / €10 Concession, and are available by contacting the Mermaid Arts Centre at 01-2724030, or online at www.mermaidartscentre.ie. 

 

FIRST YEARS 2007-2008

The interviews for all incoming first years will take place on Wednesday 21st March.  This is a good opportunity for students and their parents to meet with the teachers of the school and to discuss their educational future in Coláiste Chraobh Abhann.

 

INSERVICE DAY

A reminder to all parents that the school will be closed on Friday March 16th for an inservice day.  The school will also be closed on Monday March 19th.

 

LEAVING CERTIFICATE APPLIED

Our Leaving Certificate Applied students are currently out on their second work experience placement.  We wish them well and hope they learn a lot about the world of work.

 

SCHOOL MAGAZINE

The first edition of our school magazine is almost ready for publication.  The students have put a lot of work into the content of the magazine and we are sure that it will make for an enjoyable read for everyone.  A special mention to Jessica Golden and Charlie Mazer of Transition Year, as well as the second year English classes, who showed great initiative in the compilation of the magazine.

 

GET WELL WISHES

The staff and students at the school send their best wishes to Miss O Driscoll.  We hope she is recovering well and look forward to seeing her back at school very soon.

Congratulations from everyone at the school to Ms Evers-Nolan on the birth of baby Oisin.  We hope he brings her and her family years of joy and happiness.
