SPORTS DAY

Our annual sports day took place on Friday last.  Thankfully the good weather held up on what was a very enjoyable day for all involved.  Many students took part in a wide range of events, including long puc, high jump, soccer sixes and much more.

PRIZE DAY

Prize Day will take place in the school on Friday May 25th.  This is a chance for the school to recognise students in all aspects of their school and extra-curricular lives.  Awards given on this day include Student of the Year, Sports Person of the Year, along with a number of Special Achievement awards.  Students are also awarded in each of their subject areas.

TRANSITION YEAR

Transition Year Exhibition Night will take place on Thursday May 31st at 8p.m. in the school.  The students will display the work they have completed throughout the year in the various subject areas.

On the same night, students who participated in the Music Outreach Programme during the year will hold a concert in the school at 7p.m.  All are welcome to attend.

ATHLETICS

Well done to Patrick Costello who came 2nd in the long jump in the Leinster finals last Tuesday.  Well done also goes to Seán Ryder who took part in the discus.

WELL DONE

Well done to Úna Britton, Oisín Nolan, Jessica Golden and Elizabeth Daly who took part in a pilot project on Road Safety last Thursday.  This project was run by Dublin Institute of Technology.  The students faced tough competition from 9 other schools from around the country.  The team from Transition Year, who worked under the guidance of Ms. Driver and Ms. Smith, emerged victorious on the day and won a laptop each for themselves.  Well done to all!

SUMMER EXAMS

It’s that time of year again when all students are studying hard for the summer exams, which begin next week.  We wish all students the very best of luck!
