TRANSITION YEAR
Transition Year Exhibition Night will take place this Thursday, May 31st at 8p.m. in the school. The students will display and talk about the work they have completed throughout the year in the various subject areas. On the same night, students who participated in the Music Outreach Programme during the year will hold a concert in the school at 7p.m. All are welcome to attend.
ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS PROGRAMME
Congratulations to all students who participated in the County Wicklow VEC Environmental Awareness Programme. Well done to Cillian Quinn and Oisín Nolan who won first prize in the Natural Environment section. The two boys from Transition Year completed a project on recycling and compost. Well done also to Jessica Golden, Úna Britton, Oisín Nolan and Elizabeth Daly, who won a special prize for their project on road rage and road safety. Well done to all involved!
WELL DONE
Congratulations to Carla Evans and Amy Diviney in second year who took part in a competition on East Coast Radio. The girls won a mobile phone each for themselves!
NORTH WICKLOW DISTRICT FINAL
Well done to a number of our students who were on the winning team of the North Wicklow District final on Monday evening last, May 21st. The boys were captained by Dean Healy and ended the match on a final score of 1-12 to 0-6 against St. Fergal’s of Bray. Coláiste Chraobh Abhann students on the team were: Dean Healy, Luke Doyle, Shane Keogh, Philip O Connor, Kevin Condon, Matthew Mannix, Vincent Hunt, Matthew Gilbert, Ciarán Byrne, Kurt Starke, Conor Byrne, Shane Magee, Daire Killen, Jason Gilbert, Stephen Brien and Thomas Messitt. Well done lads!
JUNIOR CERTIFICATE
Best of luck to all our Third Year students who will be beginning their Junior Certificate exams next Wednesday. We wish everyone success for the hard work that has been put in during the year.
SUMMER HOLIDAYS
It’s that time of year again when the summer holidays are within reach! We wish all our students a happy and safe time during the summer, and we look forward to seeing them return relaxed and refreshed for the next school year.
