TRANSITION YEAR
On Friday last, April 11th, the Transition Year students received a social awareness talk from Officer John Dooley of Mountjoy Prison.  Officer Dooley has worked as a prison officer in Mountjoy for the last 28 years.  The aim of his talk was to bring about awareness of the overall existence of prisons in our society.  Students had the opportunity to take part in this interactive presentation and each of them derived great benefit from the afternoon.

SPONSORED WALK

The Transition Year students will be taking part in a sponsored walk on Thursday April 24.  They are hoping to raise enough money to purchase a defibrilator which can be brought to all matches and other sporting activities.

CHOIR

A reminder to all students that choir continues every Friday morning at 8a.m.

TABLE TENNIS

Table tennis continues every Tuesday and Thursday at lunchtime for all first year students.

GOOD LUCK

Best wishes to all our third year Home Economics students who are doing their cookery practicals this week!

Well done to third year Music students who completed the practical element of their exam last week.

INSERVICE

The school will be closed this Friday April 18th for a staff in-service day.
