Wicklow and Bray People weekly School Report
TRIP TO SWEDEN
Students and Staff from Colaiste Chraobh Abhann visit Wieselgrennsskolan Secondary School, Helsingborg, Sweden from Tuesday 28th April to Sunday 3rd May 2009 as part of the school’s Exchange Programme. Students at Colaiste Chraobh Abhann have previously visited England, France and Germany earlier this year and have had wonderful experiences which have led to lasting friendships between the partner students. The exchange to Sweden is a dance and music exchange which involves students from the music classes, choir and the Music Outreach Programme as well as students who have an interest and talent for Irish dance. The students will meet with their counterparts in Sweden and will collaborate in the production of a concert which will be held towards the end of the trip. The students, who will stay with host families in the area, will visit classes at the school over the six days. They will also have plenty of opportunities to see the local sights such as Hamlet’s Castle in Helsingor and to explore the beautiful and historic city of Helsingborg. The students are travelling in the company of Mr Eivers, Ms Armstrong and Ms Leydon.
