CONGRATULATIONS
Well done to one of our past pupils, Gary Crean, who attained second place in the country in his Construction Studies Leaving Certificate exam 2009. Gary will be awarded a certificate in recognition of his achievement at an awards ceremony in Ballinasloe in March. Well done to Gary’s teacher, Mr. Morahan.
COUNTY WICKLOW VOCATIONAL SCHOOLS TEAM
Congratulations to Sean Ryder, Christy Power, Conor McKenna and Shane Magee who represented the Co Wicklow Vocational Schools team and reached the Leinster final by beating Wexford and Dublin respectively last week. The County Vocational team will now take on Meath in the final which is due to be played on Saturday the 6th of February.
JUNIOR LADIESGAELIC FOOTBALL
Well done to the Junior Ladies football team who beat Loreto Bray on Thursday last by 3-4 to 1-2. Special mention to Katie Coleman, Leah Sullivan and Aisling McCabe who played exceptionally well.
GREEN SCHOOL COMMITTEE
Our Green School Committee would like to invite any parent who would like to volunteer to help out with recycling bottles, by bringing them to the local bottle bank. Please let the school know as soon as possible.
POSTER COMPETITION
Well done to our first year Green School poster competition prize winners, Jarek Blacharski and Jake Ryan. Both winning posters will be displayed around the school as our anti-litter slogans.
DAIL NA nOG
Well done to Joe Bradley in fifth year who recently attended a meeting in the Office of the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs to prepare for making a presentation to the All-Party Oireachtas Committee on Education and Science. Joe is a member of the Dail na nOg Council and has done tremendous in the last year in seeking to improve the lives of young people in Ireland.
MOCK EXAMS
