JUNIOR BOYS BASKETBALL

The first year boys basketball team played Avondale before the midterm.  They were unfortunate to lose, as they played well but missed out on good opportunities.  The final score was CCA 2          Avondale 19.

Commiserations also to the second year boys basketball team, who were beaten by Avondale on a scoreline of 15-13.  The boys were very unlucky, having three throws to win the game in the last two minutes.

 

BRING AND BUY SALE

A bring and buy sale will take place in the library this Thursday at lunchtime.  Donations of old books, games, DVDs and videos are welcome and should be left in G06.

 

DATES FOR YOUR DIARY

School will finish on Monday March 3rd at 12.30p.m.  The scheduled staff meeting on this day has now been cancelled as a result of the visit of the Chief Executive Officer and the Education Officer of Co. Wicklow VEC, who will meet with staff from 1.15 – 4.45p.m., as part of the review process of the Education Plan 2006-2010.

The school will close on Wednesday 12th March at 12.30p.m. to facilitate the interviews of new entrants to our school in September.  All extra-curricular and supervised study will be cancelled on this day.

 

SENIOR CYCLE OPTIONS

An information night regarding Senior Cycle options will take place on Thursday February 28th at 8p.m.  Details to follow.

 

WORK EXPERIENCE

Good luck to our fifth year Leaving Certificate Applied class who are currently on teo weeks’ work experience.

 

CROSS COUNTRY COMPETITION

Congratulations to Ronan Marah, Aisling McCabe and Sarah Kavanagh who qualified for the Leinster Cross Country Championship before midterm.  They were all placed in the top 10 of the East Leinster Competition.  Well done to all who participated.

 

CAMOGIE

A reminder to all that camogie training continues on Wednesday from 2-3p.m.  There will be a match on Friday.  All players please attend.

 

MUSIC OUTREACH PROGRAMME

The music outreach programme resumes on Wednesday.  All students are asked to bring in their instruments.

 

RUGBY

There will be a rugby club for first and second year boys on Thursday February 21st from 4-5p.m.
