SPONSORED WALK

The Transition Year students will be taking part in a sponsored walk on Thursday April 24.  They are hoping to raise enough money to purchase a defibrilator which can be brought to all matches and other sporting activities.

 

TABLE QUIZ

There will be a table quiz in aid of our school in Byrne’s Pub, Kilcoole on Thursday May 1st at 7.30p.m.  This has been organised by our Parents’ Association.  Everyone is welcome to attend.

Best wishes to our third year students who are currently putting the finishing touching to their woodwork, metalwork and art projects.  We wish them every success!

 

ENVIRONS COMPETITION

Good luck to all students involved in the County Wicklow VEC Environmental Awareness competition.  The final adjudication of the projects is taking place this Wednesday.  Our school has entered 10 projects this year, spanning all categories of the competition.

 

ATHLETICS

Congratulations to all students who took part in the Athletics competition in Charlesland last Thursday, April 18.  The students won a huge number of medals and the boys won the Overall Best Boys School in the Post-Primary track and field competition.  The winners on the day were: Aisling McCabe, Niamh Dalton, Sarah Kavanagh, Lara Broughan, who all won silver in the under-15 relay; Jessica Golden, Niamh Donnelly, Úna Britton, Laura Greene, who all won bronze in the under-20 relay; Úna Britton who won gold in the under-20 800m; Seán Ryder who won gold in the under-17 shot putt and also won gold in the under-20 javelin; Patrick Costello who won gold in the under-17 100m and also won silver in the under-17 long-jump; Seán Ryder, Patrick Costello, Matthew Gilbert, Gary Elliott, who all won gold in the under-17 boys relay; Ronan Marah who won gold in the 800m; Gary Elliott who won gold in his debut in the under-15 javelin.  A massive well done to all involved!
