DATES FOR YOUR DIARY

School will finish on Monday March 3rd at 12.30p.m.  The scheduled staff meeting on this day has now been cancelled as a result of the visit of the Chief Executive Officer and the Education Officer of Co. Wicklow VEC, who will meet with staff from 1.15 – 4.45p.m., as part of the review process of the Education Plan 2006-2010.

The school will close on Wednesday 12th March at 12.30p.m. to facilitate the interviews of new entrants to our school in September.  All extra-curricular and supervised study will be cancelled on this day.

 

SENIOR CYCLE OPTIONS

An information night regarding Senior Cycle options will take place on Thursday February 28th at 7.30p.m.

 

EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

Hurling for first and second year boys will take place on Wednesday from 2-3p.m.

First Tee will be on this Wednesday for the junior group.

French conversation group continues this Thursday from 4-5p.m.

 

TRANSITION YEAR
Our Transition year students will be going to Shakespeare’s ‘The Tempest’ this Thursday, February 28th.  This is taking place in the Pavilion theatre in Dún Laoghaire, and will conclude the module they have been studying on William Shakespeare.

 

NATIONAL LITERACY COMPETITIONS

Calling all budding writers and poets!

The ‘Schools against Racism’ poetry and short story competition on the theme of Respect is now drawing to a close.  The final date for entries is Friday February 29th.  More information is available from the English teachers.

 

ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS PROGRAMME

First round of judging took place on Monday last for the County Wicklow VEC Environmental Awareness programme.  Our school is submitting 10 projects – 5 Junior and 5 Senior - across all 6 categories.  Best wishes to all students involved.
