The TY Book of the Month is “Cinderella is Dead” by Kalynn Barron. This novel was released in 2020 and the story focuses on the character of Sophia Grimmins, a young girl living in the same world as Cinderella, two hundred years after her death. Like all the other teenage girls in her society, Sophia is faced with the prospect of going to the Royal Ball to meet and marry a man she has never met before. This novel is a clever twist on the classic fairytale that inspires girls to break free from limiting stereotypes and to follow their dreams!
